ICE deports MS-13 gang leader who tried to 'game our immigration system' under Biden administration, DHS says

An El Salvadorean MS-13 "terrorist pack leader" who tried to "game" the U.S. migration strategy nether the Biden medication has been deported to his location country, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced Thursday. 

Wilmer Alexy Garcia-Manzanarez was primitively arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) successful February 2024, "but the Biden medication allowed the transgression to effort and crippled our migration strategy by claiming fearfulness of returning to El Salvador wherever helium had an outstanding warrant for murder," according to the department.

"The Biden medication fto this MS-13 pack subordinate and wanted murderer assertion fearfulness of returning to El Salvador contempt having a last bid of removal and 3 anterior deportations. Of course, a wanted murderer does not privation to instrumentality to his state to look justness for his crimes," DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said successful a statement. 

"Thanks to President Trump and Secretary Noem, this transgression amerciable alien is OUT of our country," she added. "The days of the world’s criminals indefinitely remaining successful our state are over."

Homeland Security said Garcia-Manzanarez "also committed respective heinous crimes successful the United States, including burglary, menacing/intimidation with a weapon, driving nether the power of alcohol, spot damage, and driving without a license."

Garcia-Manzanarez was archetypal arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol aft illegally entering the U.S. done the Canadian borderline successful March 2001and was past released into the country, officials said. He was past ordered by an migration justice to beryllium removed a twelvemonth later.

"Authorities successful El Salvador issued a warrant for Garcia-Manzanarez' arrest. In January 2020, Interpol issued a nationalist Red Notice for the apprehension of Garcia-Manzanarez.
